We're currently looking for:

  • Firefighters

  • Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Paramedics

  • Supporting (Administrative) Members

  • Junior Members

All training and equipment (uniforms, personal protective equipment, etc.) is provided FREE-OF-CHARGE.

 

Minimum Requirements for Membership:

  • Must be at least 16 years old

  • Completion of driving record & criminal record background check

  • Successful completion of 6-month probationary period

  • Length of Service Awards Program (LOSAP) providing retirement money for members

Categories & Requirements of Membership:
We currently have three categories of membership:  Active, Junior, and Supporting.  Specifically:

Active Members:
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must obtain Firefighter and/or EMT certification
  • Requested to run at least 30 hours per month, which includes 1 duty night per week (6 p.m. - 6 a.m.) and one 12-hour weekend commitment every 4-6 weeks
  • Required to assist with non-operational activities, including BBQ's, breakfasts, Santa Rides, etc.

Junior Members:

  • Must be 16-18 years old
  • Must maintain a "C" average in school in order to participate
  • Allowed to participate in training

Supporting Members:

  • Members who do not respond to emergency calls
  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Assist with fundraising, administrative duties, and community involvement activities such as breakfasts, BBQ's, Open Houses, etc.
