Simmons Hall is a premiere rental banquet hall, located adjacent to the Buckhall Volunteer Fire Department. 

With a 200-person capacity, Simmons Hall is the perfect location to hold your next event.

Simmons Hall rentals include use of chairs, tables (round or rectangular), podium (if needed), and post-event breakdown & cleaning.

Rental Costs & Policies:

The Simmons Hall rental rate $800 per event.  Cost includes use of tables & chairs, silverware (if requested), and salt & pepper shakers (if requested).

Setup is permitted the evening before or morning of your event.  Hall patrons may decorate walls with signs, etc., permitting signs are hung with removal tape only (no screws, nails, or thumbtacks). 

Post-event breakdown and cleaning are included in the rental fees.  Anything left in Simmons Hall after your event will be discarded, so please take anything you wish to keep with you at the end of your event.

Please keep in mind that Simmons Hall is located adjacent to the Buckhall Volunteer Fire Department, which is staffed 24-hours a day.  To that end, we ask that all music be turned off no later than 11 p.m., and that all events end no later than midnight.

Alcohol Policy:

Alcohol consumption is permitted in Simmons Hall, pursuant to the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Depending on the type of event you are hosting, an alcohol permit from the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC)

Simmons Hall patrons are responsible for obtaining all applicable licenses, and for enforcement of of ABC rules.  For information on whether you need a license, and how to obtain any necessary licenses, please click HERE for the Virginia ABC's Special Events Licensing page (links open in a new window). 

An ABC-licensed bartender is available for an additional fee.  

Simmons Hall patrons are encouraged to serve and drink responsibility.
